This page covers how Naughty or Nice (naughtyornice.co.uk) handles your data, what cookies and similar technology it uses, and the terms that apply when you use the site. Last updated 2 September 2026.
Privacy Policy
What we collect
If you just search a name on the free list, nothing is sent to our servers - the search happens entirely in your browser.
Every visitor's browser sends basic analytics data automatically (if you accept analytics cookies - see the Cookie Policy below), including approximate location, browser and device type, and which pages you view.
If you sign in to personalise a report, we additionally collect and store:
- Your email address and display name, provided by Google or Apple when you sign in
- The first name and behaviour notes you write about your child
- Records of any payment you make (handled by Stripe - see below, we never see or store your card details)
Why we collect it
To operate the personalisation feature, process payment for it, and let you come back and view or edit your saved reports. Basic analytics helps us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Who we share it with
We use the following third parties to run the site. Each processes the data described above only for that purpose:
- Google and Apple - for signing in
- Stripe - for processing payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers
- Microsoft Azure - for hosting the site, storing your data, and (if you accept analytics cookies) basic usage analytics
Children's privacy
Naughty or Nice is designed for a parent or guardian to use on behalf of their child, not for a child to use directly to submit information unless directly in the browser. We only ever store a first name and whatever behaviour notes a parent chooses to write - nothing else about a child is collected.
How long we keep it, and your rights
Saved reports and account data are kept until you delete them or ask us to. You can delete any saved report yourself at any time from My Reports. To access, correct, or delete your data, or to ask any question about this policy, email contact@naughtyornice.co.uk.
Cookie Policy
"Cookies" here also covers similar browser storage like sessionStorage. We use two categories:

Strictly necessary cookies can't be switched off as they're required for the site to work. You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
Terms and Conditions
The service
Naughty or Nice is a free Christmas activity: search a name to get a Behaviour Report from Santa's naughty or nice list. Parents can optionally sign in and pay a one-time fee to write their own personalised notes instead of random ones: a single report, or unlimited reports until Christmas Day.
Payment and refunds
Payments are one-time, not subscriptions, and are processed securely by Stripe. We don't offer refunds except where the service itself malfunctions and fails to deliver what you paid for - contact us and we'll sort it out.
Acceptable use
The notes you write for a personalised report must not contain anything abusive, offensive, or inappropriate. We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches this and to suspend access for repeated misuse.
Your content
You keep ownership of the notes you write. By saving them, you give us permission to store and display them back to you as part of the service.
Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is", for entertainment purposes, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of the site beyond what's required by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
